Trail de Cuers, held in Cuers within the Var department of Provence, is a spring trail-running event with a total runner cap of 1,000. It features three distances: a 42 km race with approximately 2,000 to 2,250 m of elevation gain, a 25.5 to 26 km course with about 1,150 to 1,350 m of climbing, and a 10.5 to 12 km option with 350 to 450 m of climbing that accommodates walkers. The long race is eligible for a UTMB 50K index, and the middle race for a UTMB 20K index.
The courses traverse the Barre de Cuers mountains, ensuring even the short race offers more than a simple flat run. The 42 km and 26 km routes are designed as single loops, with the shortest course being the most frequented. This event is included in the Challenge des Trails de Provence for both short and long courses, attracting participants of the broader Provence trail circuit. Organizers imbue the race with a lighthearted spirit, emphasizing adventure, nature, and a touch of humor. The short route is presented for those who wish to amble, converse, and appreciate the scenery, while the middle route targets runners seeking a moderate test with time for photos.
