Trail de Gi, J'y Monte - 33 km 2026

Trail de Gi, J'y Monte is a mountain trail race held at the Site Nordique de la Praille in the Bugey, near the Plateau d'Hauteville in France’s Ain department. The 33 km race starts from Hauteville-Lompnes at 09:00 with 2,000 m of elevation gain, meaning the primary difficulty is continuous climbing rather than just the distance. The race day includes multiple formats, ranging from short children’s races to longer solo routes, with 8 km and 16 km options available in addition to the main courses. The event has developed over more than a dozen editions, and its structure evolves: the long race has typically been between 30 and 35 km. The 16 km race is part of the Ain mountain race challenge, and the current long-course configuration allows 35 km runners to complete an additional 8 km loop for a 43 km total distance with its own classification.
