About this race
Trail de la Pierre Fendue is a winter trail race held in Le Sourn, a commune within Morbihan, Brittany. Participants navigate a primarily wooded course network, typically offering a short, a medium, and a long option of approximately 23 to 24 km. The longest route features significant climbing, around 800 m of elevation gain, the medium route about 500 m, and the short route approximately 220 m. Consequently, even the shorter distances involve challenging terrain.
The courses consist of about 95% forest paths, crossing the woods of Rongoet and Bauzo. This involves muddy, technical trail running on singletrack, with steep sections and rope-assisted passages, rather than wide gravel roads. The longest race includes two aid stations, while the shorter options have one. Participants must provide their own cup for drinks. Registration is exclusively online via Klikego; no race-day sign-ups are permitted. The start and finish areas are indoors, and showers are provided. Post-race amenities include aid and a refreshment bar. Past events saw modest but active participation for a local trail race, with over 100 runners on the long course and more than 200 on the shorter ones.
