The Trail de la Tieule is a summer trail-running event held in La Tieule, Lozere, organized by X-Sports Lozere. The current program offers runners three nature courses of approximately 8 km, 16 km, and 27 km. Additionally, two walking routes are available for those who prefer to experience the trails without the competitive aspect. The longest race involves an elevation gain of about 950 meters, the middle distance around 450 meters, and the short race approximately 200 meters. Consequently, even the shortest option presents genuine inclines.
The event also accommodates younger participants and families, with previous editions featuring a youth trail and an 800-meter family loop for adults and children. Certain race distances contribute to the De l'Aubrac aux Gorges du Tarn trail challenge, integrating La Tieule into a broader local trail running schedule. Clubs and teams have additional incentives to participate: awards have been given to the most represented club and the top three-runner team on each course, in addition to overall, women's, and youth classifications. A meal is provided to all participants, lending the day a local village-race atmosphere rather than a purely competitive focus.
