The Trail de la Tour du Faucon begins in Puget-Ville, a village in Provence situated between Toulon and the Mediterranean coast. It takes place in February when the hills offer cooler temperatures than during the summer. This trail-running event, organized by the Club Athlétique de Puget-ville, offers multiple race distances. The primary trails are 10 km with 368 meters of elevation gain, 15 km with 500 meters, and 25 km with 900 meters. Additionally, there is a 10 km canitrail for participants with dogs and a Nordic walking route.
The courses traverse the hills surrounding Puget-Ville, passing through Besse-sur-Issole and Rocbaron. The event focuses on rugged Provençal terrain rather than road running. The name originates from the Tour du Faucon, a medieval tower located within the course area, dating back to the 12th or early 13th century. This 13-meter-high tower, which once functioned as an early warning lookout post, features a distinctive hexagonal exterior and a pentagonal interior.
