About this race
The Trail de la Truffe, held in February, takes place in Chartrier-Ferrière, a small commune in Corrèze, southwest France. Participants can select from 32 km, 22 km, or 13 km races. The 32 km route involves a 635-meter climb, the 22 km route has 316 meters of elevation gain, and the 13 km route gains 250 meters. Walking options are also available at 7 km, 9 km, and 13 km, catering to those not solely focused on the main trail races.
The extended course crosses the Forêt de Couzages, Cirque de Ladou, Plateau de Fournet, the heights of Lissac, Vallée Sèche, and the steep inclines of Montagne Pelée before the final ascent to Chartrier-Ferrière. Causse Espoir Corrézien is the organizing body. A past event saw 455 participants. Staggered morning starts are employed, with 32 km runners beginning first, followed by the 22 km and 13 km races, and walkers departing shortly thereafter.
