Trail de Pommard is a short trail-running event in Pommard, a wine village in Côte-d’Or, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Held in February, it offers runners two distance options: approximately 9 km or 15 km. Both routes remain within the vineyards of the Côte d’Or, featuring nature trails, aid stations, and concluding in the Parc de Pommard.
The 9 km race involves a climb of about 220 metres, while the 15 km race ascends around 380 metres. Consequently, even the shorter distance requires consistent effort rather than just road speed. The longer course is designed as a challenge on the Burgundian hillsides. The setting is distinctly local: Pommard is intrinsically linked to its AOC wine, and the race utilizes the slopes surrounding the village rather than a circuit through the town centre.
