Trail des 3 Chapelles 2027

The Trail des 3 Chapelles, Brittany's oldest trail race, takes place in Bains-sur-Oust, Ille-et-Vilaine. It is typically held in March, a time when the weather in this region of Brittany can be unpredictable. Participants can select from 9 km, 14 km, 22 km, or 43 km running routes, with 14 km and 23 km options available for walkers. The courses follow rural paths winding through rivers, forests, valleys, and past chapels. They include a section around the L'Ile Aux Pies valley and a protected NATURA2000 area. The race's identity is tied to three chapels, with checkpoints named Chapelle St Meen, St Laurent, and St Marcelin featured on the longer distances. This event has been a source of local pride in Bains-sur-Oust since 1996, and well-attended editions attract over 1,500 participants for both the races and walks.
