About this race
The Trail des 3 Chapelles is a trail running event held on a Saturday in Bains-sur-Oust. Its centerpiece is a 43 km race through the countryside. The event also offers shorter races: a 22 km trail, 14 km and 9 km nature races, and a 43 km relay divided into legs of 14 km, 10 km, 8 km, and 11 km. Walkers can participate on 22 km and 14 km routes, which are also suitable for Nordic walking.
The routes follow hiking paths and pass the three chapels that lend the race its name. Over 1,500 participants have competed, indicating its significance beyond a small local gathering. The 43 km race has attracted notable runners, including Rennes-based Alice Joncoux and sports coach Kévin Beunel. Beunel completed the 43 km in 3 hours and 22 minutes, finishing five minutes ahead of his closest competitors. Following the races, awards will be presented in the late afternoon, followed by a dinner with dancing.
