Trail des Bézous d'Chataignes is a mid-September trail race in Avessac, Loire-Atlantique, western France, with afternoon starts for all distances. Participants can select from 8 km, 16 km, and 24 km routes, suitable for beginners, local club runners, and those seeking a longer forest run. The course follows the Ruisseau de Rubis and utilizes the wooded countryside around the village, avoiding roads and city streets.
The 8 km route stays within the undergrowth and is described as accessible to all, presenting no major difficulty and featuring one liquid aid station. The 16 km race follows a similar natural terrain profile, combining paths and undergrowth, with two liquid aid stations. The 24 km route extends time on paths and in woods, includes three liquid aid stations, and passes through two private properties offering views of châteaux. Prizes are awarded to the top three women and men in each race, and the largest club or association group receives a prize. The event concludes after the ceremony with food, drinks, and a free concert.
