Trail des Carriers is a trail race held at the Stade Equestre Le Grand Parquet in Fontainebleau, offering 14.8 km or 20.5 km distances. The shorter course includes a 420-meter climb, and the longer course a 550-meter climb, indicating it is not a flat forest run. Participants will start in waves and corrals, then proceed in semi-autonomy with limited aid: one aid station on the route and another at the finish for each distance.
The course features trails, undergrowth, rocky ascents, and smoother sections connecting Le Grand Parquet, the Gorges de Franchard, and La Faisanderie. It crosses specific locations like the Grotte du Serment, Mont Aigu, and Mont Fessas, alongside sites related to Fontainebleau's historical quarrying operations. The Grand Parquet venue is convenient for spectators and runners, providing ample parking, heated restrooms and showers, spacious start/finish areas, and a grandstand with views of the start and finish lines.
