About this race
Trail des Collines Normandes is a trail-running event in Condé-sur-Noireau, Calvados, Normandy, with all races starting and finishing at Stade Robert Gossart on rue de Vire. Cap Condé organizes the event. The program includes a 13 km Foulées vertes with 220 m of climbing and a 50 km Trail des Aiglons with 1,500 m of climbing. The 13 km option is open to many runners, while the 22 km Trail des Éperviers requires regular practice on hilly ground. The 35 km Trail des Faucons and 50 km Trail des Aiglons are for experienced runners who have completed longer trail races with significant elevation gain.
The courses are designed around the Norman hills, not flat roads. Even the shortest race involves climbing, and longer routes increase in distance and vertical gain. Start times are staggered, beginning with the 50 km and ending with the 13 km, with all participants finishing before the late-afternoon cutoff. Aid is provided based on distance: one aid station for shorter races and three aid stations with two water points for the 50 km, along with finish-line support. Field sizes are limited: 160 places for the 13 km and 370 for each of the 22 km and 35 km races. A significant portion of the 13 km entry fee supports an association fighting disability.
