The Trail des Coteaux du Lyonnais is a trail race held in late January in Taluyers, a village in France's Rhône department, southwest of Lyon. Participants can select from short, middle, and long routes, typically 11 km, 20 to 22 km, and 30 km, respectively. A separate children’s race is also offered.
The race's name reflects the landscape: the courses traverse the Lyonnais hills, and the event's slogan references the French word for slope. The 11 km route involves a climb of approximately 300 meters, the middle distance around 500 meters, and the 30 km route about 800 meters. Even the shortest adult course requires solid trail running ability. Talu’run organizes the event, and the children’s run covers about 900 meters, with a category for ages 7 to 10.
