Trail des Couteliers 2027

Trail des Couteliers is a trail-running weekend in Nontron, centered on the local Couteliers name and revived after a pause. The schedule features nine events, including night and day trail races, a walk, and a children's race. The short Night Trail begins in the evening, covering 9.5 km with 320 m of elevation gain. Daytime options include a 12 km trail with the same climb, a 24 km race, and the Grand Trail des Couteliers at 36 km with 850 m of elevation gain. The routes are distinctive because most of the running occurs on private land, with access granted solely for race day. Consequently, runners can view the elevation profiles beforehand, but the precise courses remain undisclosed until the event. Over 900 participants attended the relaunch edition, indicating it is more than a small local gathering, drawing trail runners, walkers, children, and spectators to Nontron for the weekend.
