The Trail des Merveilles is a trail race held in the village of Breil-sur-Roya, near the entrance to Mercantour National Park. Located on the edge of the Roya Valley, it is a mountain event, distinct from road or city races. The race limits entries to 350 runners, a cap intended to ensure participants are well-received in the village. By its seventh edition, the race had garnered significant local interest and was noted as a success.
