Trail des neiges - Beaucens is a winter trail race on snow at the Hautacam ski resort, located above Beaucens in the French Pyrenees. Participants can select either a 10 km or 20 km route, both utilizing groomed cross-country ski tracks. The race commences at sunset from the lower parking lot, situated in front of the ski-lift snack bar. This year's event takes place at night, requiring participants to use a headlamp.
The local association La Ronde des Bualas, with assistance from Beaucens village volunteers, organizes the race. Despite a late arrival, snow conditions are sufficient for a true white trail, following several years of disruptions because of the health crisis. Approximately 115 runners are registered, and dogs are permitted in a canitrail format. Weather permitting, runners will witness the sunset over the Hautacam massif before continuing their race into the darkness.
