Trail des Petits Lutins is a small trail event in Jarnages, a village in the Creuse department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in central France. It is usually held around late September or early autumn, offering a 14 km trail, a 6.5 km trail, a 1.5 km children's trail, and a 6 km hike, catering to families, walkers, beginners, and regular trail runners.
The routes remain entirely on natural terrain around Jarnages, utilizing paths through forest, meadows, and rolling countryside. The longer trail is described as technical enough for experienced runners, while the shorter race and hike ensure accessibility. The event directs its profits to the village school, emphasizing a friendly, shared race day over a large-scale spectacle. Jarnages also offers visitors historical points of interest near the race, including Saint-Michel church, with sections dating to the 12th and 15th centuries, and a 16th-century market well.
