Trail des Salamandres is a small nature trail event in Léogeats, Gironde, offering two morning races: 17 km and 9 km. The 17 km race begins first, followed by the 9 km race ten minutes later, and then a 9 km walk. In the afternoon, children can participate in races of 700 m, 1,500 m, and 3,000 m, with categories for ages 7 to 13.
The 9 km walking route best showcases the surroundings, covering Léogeats and nearby villages via vineyard tracks, local paths, and the Ciron riverbanks. Fadas Sport Aventure, the local club originating from Léogeats, organizes the event. This association, affiliated with the French Triathlon Federation, has around 70 members and is directed by Sylvain Breton. The two trail races are intentionally limited to 100 runners each, and food services are provided at the location.
