Trail du Böer is a December trail event in Moussan, where runners start in Santa hats on a hilly route that proves more challenging than it initially seems. The primary race covers 23 km with 600 m of elevation gain. Additionally, there's a 14 km trail with 230 m of climbing, an 11 km timed Nordic walk sharing the same elevation gain, and a 10 km hike at a relaxed pace.
The course features clay-like terrain in sections, sufficient inclines to tax participants' legs, and a few points where navigation can be difficult. Los Moussanots organize the event, headed by Christophe Saunière, with a volunteer team managing the final arrangements. The number of participants is increasing, surpassing a previous total of 292 starters, and the timed Nordic walk was introduced to accommodate growing interest. Race accounts include Francis assisting runners who lost their way, Mégane, a novice to long-distance trails, securing second place in the female U23 category, and a runner known as “the lion” finishing eighth in 1:53.
