Trail du lac de Paladru offers three UTMB-qualifying trail races encircling Lake Paladru in Isere. Starts are divided between Charavines and Camping Détente & Clapotis in Montferrat. The event takes place over an April weekend, featuring a 16.7 km semi-night race, a 32.2 km mid-distance trail, and a 55 km Grand Tour du Lac. The short race can be completed solo or as a duo. The longer courses are solo trail races awarding ITRA points: 1 point for the 32 km and 2 points for the 55 km.
The 55 km course involves 2,028 m of elevation change, with its longest single climb measuring 250 m. The challenge stems from consistent effort rather than a single major ascent. The 32 km race has 1,000 m of climbing and descending, and the 16.7 km race includes 740 m of elevation change. No aid stations are provided for any race, requiring runners to carry their own supplies. Mandatory equipment and time limits are enforced for all races. Entry limits control field sizes: 900 runners for the 32 km, 600 for the 55 km, and 300 solo runners plus 100 duos for the semi-night race, where teammates must start and finish together.
