Trail du Marensin 2027

The Trail du Marensin starts runners after dark from the Yvonne Mester stadium in Vielle, located in Vielle-Saint-Girons on the Landes coast of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The primary events are night trail runs: La Jaougotte, a 10 km course, and La Marensine, a 21 km course. A 9 km walking route, La Marche, is also available. The event typically occurs in mid-March and offers courses for children and juniors. The course crosses the Marensin landscape, featuring pine forests, sandy terrain, dunes, and paths near the ocean, rather than urban streets. The sand presents a challenge, particularly at night when headlamps are necessary for navigation. This event is in its late teens, and the finish is marked by a communal, convivial gathering instead of a simple dispersal.
