The Entrevaux Trail starts at the base of the Entrevaux Citadel and employs a trail-enduro format instead of a conventional start-to-finish race. Participants select either an 8 km or 24 km course, then compete only on the timed sections: three on the shorter course or five on the longer one.
Between these timed segments, runners navigate non-timed liaison sections at their own pace, meaning the day is not a single, continuous effort against the clock. The final standings are determined by summing each runner’s times on the timed sections, which are designed to evaluate both physical condition and technical trail abilities.
