About this race
The Trail Enguerrand takes place in Coucy-le-Château, a village in France’s Aisne department. It is set within a medieval hilltop environment, featuring a 13th-century castle, ruins, and ramparts near the race paths. This event offers a trail-running series with multiple distances: the 30 km Trail des Sires, the 15 km Trail de la Vallée, the 10 km Trail du Château (a discovery route), and an 11 km leisure walk for those preferring to enjoy the paths without competing.
The routes traverse the vicinity of the old fortified town, passing by ramparts and extending onto trails through adjacent forests and fields, with vistas from the walls. The 30 km race is open to all participants. Additionally, the Trail de Ronde provides shorter courses for younger runners: 1.2 km for ages 10-11 and 1.6 km for ages 12-13. Now in its fifth edition, the series combines local trail terrain with the medieval streets and ruins of Coucy-le-Château.
