About this race
The Trail hivernal de Saint-Étienne-de-Maurs is a winter trail running event in France's Cantal region, centered in Saint-Étienne-de-Maurs. Participants can select a 28 km course with approximately 1,200 metres of elevation gain, or a 14 km course available for solo runners or relay teams. A nature walk is also part of the program, welcoming non-racers.
The courses traverse forest tracks and paths near Maurs, Quèzac, and Saint-Julien-de-Toursac. Course profiles and GPX files are provided by the organizers; this is helpful as the longer route offers significant climbing for its length. The event has a long history in the area, with at least 15 editions held, and features past results, photo archives, and practical support like accommodation details and childcare services.
