About this race
La Fée Blanche is a short snow trail race at Aillons-Margériaz 1400 in Aillon-le-Vieux, beginning at the Nordic site at the base of the ski area. Held in the evening, its 10.5 km course with 220 m of elevation gain positions it as a quick winter mountain run rather than a lengthy endurance challenge. Aillons-Margériaz Evènements organizes the race, supported by partners such as Terre de Running, Bauges Montagne Sport, and Régis Coaching.
Participants initially proceed toward the alpine sector, loop back through the start area, and then move onto the Nordic domain. The course follows marked ski pistes, including the blue and green runs, incorporates a brief off-piste section, and concludes on the black piste named “les fées.” Two time cut-offs ensure the pace is maintained: one after the initial loop under the arch, and a second after the off-piste segment before the final circuit. The finish line is illuminated by torches, bibs are collected at the venue, early entrants may receive awards, and participants are requested to bring a reusable cup for ecological considerations.
