Trail Pom'haies Vergers is a timed trail race held in Cambremer, Calvados, each mid-October. It takes place on the hilly lanes, paths, orchards, and woods of the Pays d'Auge. The event features three single-loop distances: approximately 30 km with 750 m of elevation gain, 16 km with 400 m, and 11 km with 250 m. Organized by the Association Oxygène de Cambremer (AO2C), this is the race's 13th edition. The 16 km route is the most frequented, drawing over 300 participants in a past running, while the 30 km has a cap of about 120 runners and the 11 km around 129.
The courses utilize nature trails, farm tracks, singletrack, and private land accessible only on race day. Participants will run through apple orchards, cider farms, woods, and cellars owned by cider and calvados producers along the Route du Cidre. The 30 km route partially overlaps with the 16 km course but includes an additional cellar, more private land, two aid stations, and opportunities to sample local products. The 11 km is shorter and quicker than the other races, though its elevation and terrain still demand a genuine trail running effort. Volunteers, aid stations, changing facilities, and minor entertainment contribute to a local village-race atmosphere, distinct from a large urban event.
