About this race
The Trail Pouzaugeais takes runners along the ridges of the Haut Bocage Vendéen near Pouzauges in Vendée. Held annually in March, it features multiple trail races, ranging from a 12.89 km distance to a 66.64 km route. This event accommodates local trail runners seeking a challenging run and those prepared for an ultra-distance.
The routes traverse hilly paths and trails through historically significant areas, with elevation gain incorporated into each distance. The T.M.B., the longest race, includes 1,540 m of elevation gain. The shorter races, La Claude Roy, La Monic, and La Pouzaugeaise, offer 691 m, 433 m, and 329 m of gain, respectively. Typically, the event attracts 600 to 1,000 participants, primarily from Vendée and adjacent departments.
