Trail Saint Roch is an April trail race held in Montolieu, a small village in France’s Aude department. Participants can select a short option of approximately 14 km or a longer route of about 31-32 km, making the event suitable for both novice trail runners and those seeking a more challenging outing.
The longer course ventures into the Audoise garrigue surrounding Montolieu, featuring around 786 m of elevation gain and loss. It ascends gradually towards the Chapelle Saint Roch, then combines forest paths, open trails, ridge sections, undulating singletrack, and some technical terrain, offering vistas of the village, the valley, and the Montagne Noire. Recent race details indicate three aid stations, an eight-hour cut-off, and approximately 200 participants, contributing to its atmosphere as a community trail event rather than a large-scale competition.
