Trail Trans Volcano 67 Km - La Plaine Des Cafres 2027

Trail Trans Volcano is a 67 km trail race in the highlands of Plaine des Cafres on Reunion Island. Its standout detail is the setting: the long race runs on Piton de la Fournaise, an active volcano. The event is part of the Trails du volcan Piton de la Fournaise program, which includes a medium Trail Trans Volcano option and the Course du Tangue. The long version is described as the longer form of the Tangue race and carries about 2,300 meters of climbing. The race traditionally opens the local trail running year after the end-of-year holidays. It is organized by the Association d'Athletisme Jacky Murat with partners including the Cite du Volcan, the RSMA of Plaine des Cafres, and the municipality of Le Tampon.
