Trail urbain de Mortagne - Mortagne-sur-Sèvre 2026

The Trail urbain de Mortagne is a night urban trail race held in Mortagne-sur-Sèvre, offering 6 km and 15 km distances. Participants navigate the town’s streets and narrow alleys, providing an immediate connection to the old centre rather than typical open countryside paths. The event typically occurs in early December, with headlamps, winter darkness, and short, hilly courses. The courses incorporate Mortagne’s topography, leading participants past the gardens of the cure, St Lazard chapel, the green valley, and the castle steps. Organized by Entente Sèvre, a previous edition saw approximately 650 finishers, a strong turnout for a local trail race. The event includes free children’s entertainment, making it suitable for families alongside runners. One planned edition was canceled due to administrative and logistical issues, including losing access to the Stéphane Traîneau sports complex hall, with organizers directing participants to the subsequent event.
