Trail Vilin is a trail race in the Breton countryside, held in Lampaul-Guimiliau, Finistère. Participants can choose between a 10 km run or a longer route of approximately 20 to 21 km. Organized by Team Vilin, it is noted on the Brittany running calendar as a small, local nature race, distinct from large road events. The longer course presents a greater challenge, featuring around 390 m of elevation gain and two aid stations. The 10 km route includes about 200 m of climbing and one aid station.
Both races commence and conclude at the same location in Lampaul-Guimiliau, close to the Vallée du Ped. The courses traverse paths connecting Lampaul-Guimiliau and Landivisiau, and wind through the Bois de Coat-Meur. Runners will encounter farmland, woodlands, and the undulating landscape of the Pays de Landivisiau, rather than urban streets. As a relatively new event, its early editions have maintained a straightforward format: two trail distances, reasonable entry fees, and a focus on local participants, beginners on the shorter distance, and those seeking a more challenging trail run of approximately half-marathon length.
