Trails au Clair de la Lune is a night trail event held in Saint-Lô, within the Manche department of Normandy. Both the start and finish are located at the Haras de Saint-Lô. Participants can select a shorter open trail of approximately 8 km or a 15 km route. Both courses commence after sunset and are conducted without rankings, emphasizing the communal aspect of the night run over competitive placement.
The longer course follows a loop primarily composed of paths, featuring a water station near the 11 km point. The maximum permitted duration for this route is 2 hours and 30 minutes. All individuals are welcome to participate, though those under 18 require parental consent. The mandatory equipment list highlights the nature of the night event: a headlamp, reflective attire or armband, and a mobile phone. The Amicale des Sapeurs Pompiers de Saint-Lô and Les Sympas organize the race, contributing to its local, volunteer-driven character rather than a large commercial operation.
