About this race

At 6 AM in Bertholene, runners on the longest Trans Aubrac routes begin their journey of over 100 km across Aveyron, finishing in St Geniez d'Olt. This April trail-running series explores the Aubrac area in southern France, featuring an ultra, a four-person relay, mid-distance trail races, a 13 km nature run, and a 7 km walk. The Ultra Trans Aubrac covers 107.5 km with 3,400 m of climbing and 3,600 m of descent, and the relay follows a similar scale, with teams sharing the effort. Most races conclude in St Geniez d'Olt, with starting points in Bertholene, Laguiole, or St Geniez, depending on the distance. The courses utilize natural terrain, sections of the Lot river, forest paths, ascents, descents, and passages near old castles and abbeys. The event attracts runners from approximately ten nationalities. It holds local significance as the first race in the region to exceed 100 km. The shorter Randonnée Bleue is open to walkers, with entry fees contributed to the Ligue contre les cancers.
