The 3rd edition of the Triathlon de Nantes will be held on Sunday, October 18th. This event is organized in conjunction with the Triathlon des Roses and supports breast cancer research. Participants can choose the XS OPEN format, which includes swimming in a pool, cycling along the Loire river, and running on the Île de Nantes. The race is open to licensed members of the French Triathlon Federation from the Benjamins (12 years old) to Vétérans categories, as well as non-licensed individuals. The program features two events: an individual XS Open race (drafting allowed) for both youth and adults, with distances of 200m swimming, 7.5 km cycling, and 3 km running. There is also a departmental championship for youth (12-17 years old) with the same distances. The swimming portion takes place in the Léo Lagrange pool (50m), with a rolling start every 5 seconds. A swimming cap is mandatory. The cycling route covers 7.5 km (3 laps) along Rue Gaston Michel towards the Cité des Congrès. The 3 km run is on the Île de Nantes, crossing the Victor Schoelcher footbridge to the Guinguette du Belvédère and back. Registration is exclusively online via the TimePulse website, subject to availability. No on-site registration is permitted. A valid FFTRI license (2025-2026 or 2026-2027) is required, or a 'licence expérience' for non-licensed participants, which includes an additional €4 fee on TimePulse. Bibs can be collected the day before and on the day of the race at the start/finish area (Gymnase Léo Lagrange, 44000 Nantes).
