The Triathlon de Trélissac takes place in late August in Trélissac, located in the Dordogne department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, east of Périgueux. The event features short-format triathlons: the S race includes a 750 m swim, a 20 km road bike leg, and a 5 km road run, while the XS race consists of a 400 m swim, a 10 km bike leg, and a 2.5 km run. Children's races are also part of the program, making the day suitable for participants of all ages and experience levels.
The courses wind through the town and its environs, with event categories listed under city, nature, lakes and ponds, and children’s/junior divisions. The competition is designed for a wide range of participants, from novices to seasoned triathletes, and some entries also classify it as a duathlon. Trélissac is situated in the eastern suburbs of Périgueux, bordered by the Isle river and traversed by the N21, offering a distinct small-town Dordogne atmosphere instead of a metropolitan ambiance.
