Triathlon de Vichy is a summer triathlon weekend in Vichy, France's Allier department, featuring races centered on a lake swim and a fast course. Part of the Triathlon Series, it provides XS, S, M, and L distances, accommodating participants from beginners to those targeting a half-distance race. The shortest triathlon involves a 400m swim, 11km bike, and 2.3km run, while the L format includes approximately a 2000m swim, an 85-87km bike leg, and a 20km run.
The longer race begins early Sunday, prohibits drafting, and can be completed individually or as a relay; all formats also permit relay teams. The weekend includes children's and junior races, a corporate team challenge, and a 10K Night race, offering more than just a single event for experienced triathletes. The course combines town sections, outdoor segments, and bridge or viaduct crossings. The L bike leg has about 620m of elevation gain, and the run is nearly flat with approximately 44m of gain. The event anticipates over 1,800 participants from 18 countries, assisted by more than 300 volunteers, with a village-like race area operating throughout the weekend.
