Triathlon des Monts du Lyonnais

The Triathlon des Monts du Lyonnais begins at Lac du Ronzey in Yzeron, a village within the Rhône department of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This short-distance triathlon is organized by the Triathlon Club des Monts du Lyonnais, offering XS and S races alongside separate youth events. The competition is included in the French Triathlon Federation calendar and adheres to FFTRI sporting regulations. It typically appeals to participants seeking an accessible triathlon rather than an extended challenge, featuring beginner-friendly formats and provisions for para-triathletes. The XS race consists of a 400 m swim, 10 km bike, and 2.5 km run. The S race increases these distances to 750 m, 20 km, and 5 km, respectively. Younger participants compete in discovery distances: Jeunes 1 includes a 50 m swim, 1 km mountain bike course, and 500 m run, while Jeunes 2 involves a 100 m swim, 2 km on VTT, and 1 km on foot.
