The Triathlon International d'Obernai - M is a two-day triathlon event in Alsace that attracts nearly 2,400 participants annually. Saturday's events take place at Benfeld lake, and Sunday's events are based in Obernai. The overall program includes seven races catering to various ages and skill levels, from children aged 5 and beginners to relay teams, regular amateurs, and experienced triathletes.
The M race begins at the Benfeld body of water. Athletes then cycle along the Alsace Wine Route. More competitive participants will encounter a mountain segment ascending Mont Ste Odile, a Grand Site of France situated at 760 meters elevation. The run concludes in Obernai, crossing the medieval town, orchards, and vineyards. Spectators are welcome to watch without charge. Athletes may compete individually or as part of a relay team.
