Triathlon VautourMan is a mountain-and-lake triathlon held in Arrens-Marsous, in the Hautes-Pyrénées of Occitanie, France. The race uses Lac du Tech and the Col du Soulor, with short and long formats typically scheduled for early September. The long race consists of a 1,200 m swim, 71 km road bike, and 17 km road run; the sprint involves a 600 m swim, 14 km road bike, and 7 km run.
The course profiles confirm this is not a flat triathlon: the long course includes 2,830 m of climbing, with 2,400 m on the bike and 430 m on the run. The sprint also features significant climbing for its distance, totaling 760 m of elevation gain. The VautourMan event also offers non-triathlon races, including a long or middle-distance duathlon connecting Val d’Azun, Col du Soulor, and Col de Couraduque, and a winter triathlon course between Argelès-Gazost and Col du Soulor.
