About this race
Ultra Trace de Guadeloupe is a trail and ultra running series held in Petit-Bourg, Guadeloupe, offering four distances: 10 km, 25 km, 55 km, and 100 km. Typically scheduled for late winter, the series allows participants to select a course ranging from a short forest trail to a full mountain ultra. The primary challenge is the elevation gain: the 10 km features 170 m of ascent, the 25 km has 860 m, the 55 km includes 1,900 m, and the 100 km totals 4,000 m.
The 100 km race begins in Pointe-Noire and concludes in Petit-Bourg. Other starting points include Bain Sofaia, Mairie Petit-Bourg, and Foret de Tambour. The 25 km event is a semi-nocturne race, incorporating an evening or night component. The 55 km and 100 km races have time cutoffs. All distances require mandatory equipment checks at the start, contributing to a serious mountain-trail atmosphere even for the shorter distances. Association Tanbou Rando organizes the event, with bibs available for pickup at the Petit-Bourg tourist office.
