About this race
Trouville's Urban Trail guides runners through the Normandy seaside town on two urban-trail routes: 5 km and 10 km. Both races are organized by the city, are open to runners aged 16 and over, and cost 10 euros to enter. The event takes place in March and is designed as a town race, incorporating streets, staircases, hidden paths, beach sand, and seafront structures into the course.
The Serpent staircase, with its 102 steps, is a signature feature. The 10 km route includes over 230 meters of climbing, utilizing the Corniche road, beach sand, and the Trouville-sur-Mer pier, demanding more than just flat-road speed. The race was established to highlight Trouville's heritage and viewpoints, and participation increased rapidly from 220 runners in the first edition to 500 in the second. The field consists mainly of local participants, though the 10 km has been won in 38 minutes 45 seconds.
