2Seo portel des corbières trail - Portel-des-Corbières
SUN OCT 4
The 2SEO Portel des Corbières Trail begins at Terra Vinéa, a wine-tourism site in Portel-des-Corbières, Aude, southern France. This October trail running event is organized by Sun Stages Endurance, in partnership with the Portel-des-Corbières town hall and Terra Vinéa. The event features three timed trail races: a long course of approximately 25 to 28 km, a 15 km course, and a 6 km option for less experienced participants. The two longer races include a passage through the Terra Vinéa mine, a distinctive element of the event. The 6 km Trail Portelais route remains outside the mine and involves around 114 m of elevation gain. The longer routes traverse the Portel-des-Corbières and Sigean area, with listed climbs of about 400 m for the long race and 310 m for the 15 km race. Participants not running can join the Marche Rose, a 4.5 km walk or Nordic walk around Portel-des-Corbières. A portion of the event supports Octobre Rose breast cancer screening and research, and Sun Stages Endurance also collaborates with AFDAIM 11 to enable residents with disabilities to participate through sport.
Trail des trabucayres - Maureillas-las-Illas
SUN OCT 11
Trail des Trabucayres is a Sunday-in-October trail event held in Maureillas-las-Illas. It features a 15 km race, a 5 km race, and an 11 km hike. Now in its third edition, the event has expanded its program beyond adult races. Following requests from families, the organizers introduced two children’s races: one for ages 6 to 10 and another for ages 11 to 13. The children’s races take place through the village streets, while the adult program offers the short trail, longer trail, and hiking options. Visually impaired participants also compete, accompanied by a guide on a special circuit. The association Courir en vallées sauvages, led by Gérald Frère, organizes the race. Entries have been increasing, with the previous edition attracting 485 participants. Organizers anticipate 550 adults and approximately 30 children in each youth race for the upcoming event.

Cabestanyenca
MON MAR 1
La Cabestanyenca begins at Espace Nelson Mandela in Cabestany, a town in the Pyrénées-Orientales. The main 10 km race starts at 10 AM. This is a small annual running event offering a timed and ranked 10 km race, alongside a 5 km option that can be completed as a run or a timed walk without rankings. The longer route follows roads, paths, and vineyard sections just outside town. The shorter distance is designed to be more accessible for walkers and casual runners. Children aged 7 and up have their own races, starting later in the morning. Entry fees are modest: 8 € for the 10 km, 5 € for the 5 km, and 2 € for children. The event also collects funds for Secours Populaire, linking the local race day to a charitable cause.
Ronde de Reynès
SUN MAR 7
La Ronde de Reynès is a village running event held in Reynès, located in the Pyrénées-Orientales department of Occitanie, close to the French-Spanish border. Taking place in early March, it features two races and a walking option: La Cinglantane (5.5 km), La Randonnée de la Ronde (9.1 km), and La Ronde (approximately 14.4 km). The event maintains a small, local atmosphere with around 300 runners and 150 walkers, assisted by 60 volunteers and managed by a six-person committee. The primary course begins in the village, ascends towards Le Collet (about 320 m), descends to Pont-de-Reynès (around 165 m), and crosses both roads and trails. Participants will go by the wooded track at Mas Vilacèque, the Can Borrell trail, the Moulin loop, and the ancient oak at Mas Santol, before ascending again near Cal Cascat, the highest point at approximately 330 m. The finish line is situated in front of the Mairie, with aid stations and changing facilities provided. The organizing body, Ronde de Reynès en Vallespir, expresses its local pride with the statement: “This Ronde is the Queen!”
Ronde de Reynès-en-Vallespir
MON MAR 8
Ronde de Reynès-en-Vallespir is a running and walking event in Reynès, Vallespir, southern France. It provides two race distances, 14.2 km and 5.5 km, suitable for runners seeking a longer hill run or a shorter outing. The event also features a hiking option, attracting more walkers than many local races. The route crosses the hills surrounding Reynès, with spring details that help visualize the course: cherry trees beginning to bloom, views toward Canigó, mimosa scent in the air, and violets along the banks. Participants come from across France, Belgium, and both northern and southern Catalonia, including individuals from the Manresa area.
Trail de serrabone - Boule-d'Amont
WED MAR 24
Trail de Serrabone is a spring trail race held in Boule-d'Amont, located in the Pyrénées-Orientales region of southern France. It takes place within the Massif du Canigou area and is conducted as an eco-responsible event, with organizers adhering to the principles of the Grand Site de France Massif du Canigó. The race features two mountain routes: La Santa Anna, covering 31 km with 2,000 metres of elevation gain, and Baillesta'trail, a 22 km course with 1,400 metres of elevation gain. These specifications indicate a demanding, physical trail event rather than a leisurely run through the countryside. The race has been held across multiple editions in late winter and spring.
Trail du Prieuré de Serrabone - Boule-d'Amont
TUE APR 13
The Trail du Prieuré de Serrabone is a 16 km trail race held in Boule-d'Amont, a village within the Pyrénées-Orientales department of Occitanie, southern France. The race takes place in late March, featuring a single trail distance. Course de l'artichaut - Villelongue-de-la-Salanque
MON APR 19
The Course de l'Artichaut, also known as La Cursa de la Carxofa, is a local road race held in Villelongue-de-la-Salanque, southern France. The primary events are 10 km and 5 km races, both beginning at 9:30 AM. Additionally, there is a 3 km race for Benjamin-category runners, children's races of 400 m and 800 m, and a family walk following the same circuit. The 10 km course is flat and 95% on road, featuring a 450-meter straight at the start and finish. Aid stations are located at kilometers 3 and 8. The 5 km race is entirely on road, shares the same long straight for its start and finish, and includes an aid station at kilometer 3. Sports Loisirs Villelonguet organizes the event, with approximately 90 volunteers managing safety, registration, and refreshments. The artichoke theme connects to local farming; prizes are sourced from local agriculture, and the race serves to showcase this produce to runners, walkers, children, and families.
