The River Thames anchors this race, which is based around the twinned villages of Goring & Streatley and runs between the Ridgeway and Thames Path National Trails. The Autumn 100 is a demanding, straightforward ultra: continuous trail running, no neat loop, just repeated departures from the village base and the consistent task of returning each time. The course is shaped like a cross, sending runners out on four distinct out-and-back spurs. This means you return through the same central point before heading out again. Check-in and the final cut-off are at Goring Village Hall, while the briefing and start take place in The Morrell Room in Streatley. The venue suits ultra runners familiar with drop bags, aid stations, and the mental reset of turning around and heading back into the dark.
