About this race
The Big Bertha Trail Run is a 12-hour trail race featuring 10km laps around Bertha Loch, situated near Bertha Park and Almondbank in Scotland. Participants can compete individually or in teams, with the objective to complete as many laps as possible before the time limit expires. This format accommodates runners aiming for ultra distances, as well as those who prefer to finish at a half marathon or any other chosen distance.
The course is clearly marked and marshalled, with a water station positioned approximately halfway. Chip timing and live results will be available, and medical support will be present. Awards will be given for the greatest distances covered by male, female, and non-binary participants. The course follows varied trails around Bertha Loch and towards Almondbank. Previous Wee Run Events races in the vicinity have included 5km and 10km options for runners and walkers. All finishers will receive a medal crafted by The Workshop Aberfeldy, and refreshments will be provided at the finish line by Starfish Cakes and Bakery.
