About this race
The Calon Lân 300 begins at 6:00 AM in Conwy, sending runners 300 miles across Wales to Cardiff during the peak of summer. This point-to-point ultra marathon follows the Cambrian Way, featuring 74,000 feet of climbing and a 7.5-day time limit. The challenge lies not in a single fast effort, but in sustained movement over multiple days and nights.
The course crosses Eryri National Park, mid Wales, and Bannau Brycheiniog National Park before concluding in the capital. While some segments consist of paved roads through towns, a significant portion of the course is rugged. The magnitude of the undertaking is highlighted by the fact that the Cambrian Way typically requires about three weeks to walk. Stable Adventures, the organiser, has a decade of experience hosting Welsh ultras on routes like the Wales Coastal Path and the Epynt Way, with this coast-to-coast race being one of their longest events.
