Christmas Canter 2026

Christmas Canter is a December running event held at Suffolk Running Centre on Church Road, near Bury St Edmunds. Zig Zag Running provides a 9 am mass start for all participants and a seven-hour cut-off time. Distance options range from 5K and 10K to half marathon, marathon, and ultra marathon. Shorter distances follow an out-and-back course with designated turnaround points. The half marathon consists of one loop, and the marathon comprises two loops. The event utilizes the Hargrave Half route. Mount Barrow serves as the turnaround for the 5K and 10K, with the ultra course extending to the 5K turnaround point. Race HQ is located at the start/lap point, offering water and aid. Additional aid stations are positioned approximately every 10K. As the event is cupless, runners must bring their own cup or bottle. All finishers receive a unique medal, and a lucky-dip medal option might be offered. Christmas-themed fancy dress is encouraged but not mandatory.
