Doncaster City 10k 2026

The Doncaster 10k begins and ends at Doncaster Racecourse, which serves as the event's hub for registration, parking, food, and all start/finish activities, all located within 200 metres of each other. This 10k road race takes place in November on closed roads through Doncaster's centre, featuring a quick town-centre route and a 10:00 AM start. Now in its eighth year, entries are limited, with recent races filling up months in advance, having registered 3,500 runners and hundreds more on a waiting list. The course circles central Doncaster, with minimal climbing except for a small rise around the 7.5k mark. Runners conclude the race before the grandstand at the racecourse, where spectators can view from stadium seating. Music, food, and beverages are available around the event grounds. Practical aspects contribute significantly to its draw: runners can wait indoors before the start, ample toilets are provided, and post-race amenities include a medal, a complimentary pie, and hot chocolate. The event has also received the best Yorkshire 10k award at the national running awards annually since its inception.
