About this race

The Druridge Bay Beach Trail Runs start and finish at Druridge Bay Country Park on the Northumberland coast, near Ashington. This off-road race series offers 10K and Half Marathon distances, both on a mostly flat route suitable for runners seeking trails without significant elevation gain. The terrain is varied, featuring beach, coastal path, gravel, grass, sand, and firm tracks through the dunes, rather than being technically demanding. The course provides extensive coastal views and quieter sections through the nature reserve, offering a more open and natural setting than a road race. The event caters to a wide range of participants, from novice trail runners to experienced athletes seeking a swift off-road challenge. It is consistently the organiser’s most popular trail run in the North East annually. Canicross participants are welcome with one leashed dog, and all finishers will receive a medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink.
