Eddie's Revenge Fell Race

Eddie's Revenge Fell Race begins at St Saviours Church in Oldham, Greater Manchester, with a 7:30pm start. It is a 3.8-mile fell race, but 1080 feet of climbing makes it more challenging than its distance implies. The route is largely runnable, offering runners little respite between ascents, descents, and uneven terrain. The course follows forest trails and rough moorland paths, with old mine workings aiding drainage in many sections. Mud is still present in adverse weather, and the route varies its pace as it winds through forest and moorland before a sharp, shale-covered descent near the end of the first lap. Craig Sutherland organizes the race, with results recorded from multiple previous editions. Runners may also use the event to fundraise for charity.
