Haldon Night 2027

Haldon Night comprises after-dark trail races held in Haldon Forest, located near Exeter in Devon. The event offers 10K and 5K races for older participants, alongside 2K and 1K children’s races, allowing families to spend the entire evening engaged rather than solely observing a single main event. All participants run in darkness, with a head torch being essential equipment. The 10K and 5K routes are single circuits through the forest. The 2K race consists of two laps and is intended for children aged 8 to 11, while the 1K is for younger children aged 3 to 7. The courses are marked with reflective poles and arrows, a crucial detail given that runners navigate by torchlight. Ben Tisdall organizes the series, and records of past results are maintained for both the main and junior races.
